Obituary of Mary Keele

Please share a memory of Mary to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Mary Keele, 99, of Pearland passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019.  She was born on July 12, 1920 in Glasgow, Scotland to James Lynes and Annie Forbes.  Preceding Mary in death are parents, her husband, Perry C. Keele; four brothers and two sisters.  Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ron L. Keele and wife, Dana; daughter, Debbie Blair and husband, Ronny and grandchildren, Barbie and Jennifer Blair as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Mary was a lover of life.  It was very important to her to keep fit because she always wanted to look her very best at all times.  She loved music and animals.    Mary was a war bride who met her husband Perry in 1945 while waiting for a bus.  It must have been love at first sight.  They loved to go dancing and they enjoyed bowling.  Mary enjoyed gardening and flowers.  She loved movies and traveling back to Scotland to see family and friends.  Being a true Scot, Mary loved her fish and chips, haggis, and her hot tea with honey. She worked in a factory in Scotland before she married and after marriage, she enjoyed being a stay at home mom to her family.  Her kind and gentle spirit will be missed. The memory of her smile will always bring joy to those she loved.
