Obituary of Alice Perez

Alice Perez, 74, passed away Thursday, August 13, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Cruz Carmelo. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Jesse Carmelo; daughter, Louisa Castillo; grandchildren, Alicia Green, Cristina Castillo, Veronica Febus, Jessica Carmelo; and a host of other family and dear friends. Alice was a devoted mother, and grandmother that cherished her family. She was strong in her faith and an active member of the Catholic church. Alice believed strongly in helping those less fortunate and those in need. She would gladly give the shirt off her back to help family and friends. Alice enjoyed going to the casino; especially to Coushatta. She loved elephants and collected figurines. Alice will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Services for Alice will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 201 South 3rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571. The visitation will take place Friday, August 21, 2020 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:30 am in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Grand View Memorial Park in Pasadena, Texas.
