Obituary of Cuc T. Phan

Cuc T. Phan, age 87 of Pearland, passed away on March 26, 2008. She is preceded in death by her parents, Khoa Phan and Tao (Tran) Phan of Vietnam. She is survived by a loving family, sons, Loc Nguyen & his wife Tuyet, and Phan Nguyen & his wife Hao; daughters, Phuong-Anh Nguyen & her husband Dien, and Phuong-Chi Sen & her husband Ercan; brothers, Khoi Phan and Loc Phan; sisters, Bong Phan, Cam Phan, Buoi Phan, Man Phan, Bich-Le Phan, and Hanh Phan; eight grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Cuc grew up in Vietnam where she married and raised her four children. She became a mid-wife in 1935 and delivered thousands of babies throughout her 40 year career until she retired in 1975. In 1992, Cuc moved to the United States and settled in Florida to join some of her children. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially loved taking care of her grandchildren. In 2004, she came to Texas where she lived with her son, Phan. Visitation for Cuc will be on Saturday, March 29, 2008 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 4:00 pm followed by a reception with the family. Reverend Joseph Loc Phan of the Vietnamese Martyr Church in Houston will be officiating.
