Obituary of Donnie Lee Walker Jr.

Donnie Lee Walker Jr., 56, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023. He is preceded in death by his father, Donnie Lee Walker Sr., mother in-law, Dorothy Mae Beyer, and father in-law, Harris Henry Beyer. Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Kathryn Smith Drymala; Step-Father, Michael Drymala; loving wife, of 26 years, Dorothea Walker; daughter Kaylee Marie Walker; sisters Kena Manes and husband, Mike, Keri Gass and husband, Tom, Katrina Fritz and husband, Thomas; In-laws Harris and Adriana Beyer and family, Juliana Gustke, Cathy and Raymond Verhalen and Family, Mark and Berna Beyer and family, Terry and George Rivera and family, Tim and Lori Beyer and family, Cristy and Bobby Pier and family, Susan and David Laws, Bill and Lisa Willbanks and family, Paul and Rhonda Schmidt, Robert and Heather Russel and family, Sergio and Tina Pennica and family, Michael Kolaski, and a host of other family and friends.

Donnie loved his family dearly and cherished his friends. He would do anything for them. He was the kind of person who never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone he met. Donnie loved the Lord and was strong in his faith. He was a momma’s boy and proud of it.

Donnie had a mechanical mind and was a handyman extraordinaire.  He was a welder for 13 years and a 10-year oilfield rope manufacturer. Donnie loved his work as a motorsport mechanic. In his spare time, he loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. He was also an animal lover, and was especially fond of his dogs, Lacie Mae, and Sampson. Donnie’s dream was to live in Caldwell, Texas on his property that he built from scratch. He loved his Beaver Creek community, Gregg and Maura Dever, Don and Josie Felder, Curtis and Veronica Desalous. He also loved his friends Pat and Karen Neuman, along with his Alief friends. Donnie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial mass will be held for Donnie at 10:00 am, on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, in Pearland, Texas, with Father Jim Courville officiating.
