Obituary of Marjorie Jane Letourneau

Marjorie Jane Letourneau, 77, passed away on May 19, 2011. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Helen Wheeler; her husband, Alfred Joseph Letourneau; and sister, Fran Swindell. Marjorie is survived by her son, Joseph C. Letourneau and his wife Katrina; daughters, Mary E. Letourneau, Monique L. Robinson and her husband, Ed, and Michelle A. Guthrie and her husband, Ken; brother, Robert Wheeler Jr. and his wife, Joan; grandchildren, Raymond Letourneau, Dominic Letourneau, Savannah Letourneau, Isabella Letourneau, Jessica Letourneau, Andrew Lee, Meggy Lee, Ethan Lee, Michaela Guthrie, and Taylor Guthrie; great grandchildren, Caden Letourneau and Scarlette Lee; and a host of many other family and friends.
Marjorie and Al were married in 1963 and enjoyed 36 years together. She was a wonderful gardener and loved to create area for her hummingbirds. Marjorie had a green thumb and could make most anything grow. She was also an artist that enjoyed all types of painting. Her creative side also extended to knitting, sewing and crafts. Marjorie was a very hard worker and there was nothing she couldn’t do. She built, remodeled and painted many things around their home.
Marjorie was a Registered Nurse for more than 50 years and would volunteer even after her retirement at the nursing home. She was a loving and caring person not only to her family, but also to the people she worked with and those patients she cared for. Marjorie loved to travel. After completing school, she and three of her friends left New Hampshire and traveled all the way to Alaska and back over several months. This trip set the tone for Marjorie’s life; she was outgoing and adventurous throughout her life. She loved life and shared this spirit with all her family and friends. Marjorie enjoyed her time in Texas being close to all her family and watching her grandchildren grow. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A Memorial Service for Marjorie will be held on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 7:00 pm Clayton Funeral Home at 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Deacon Darvin Bordelon officiating.
