Obituary of Roland Neal Riffe

Roland “Neal” Riffe, 83, passed away January 29th, 2025. He is preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Lola McGuire Riffe; his wife, Claudette Riffe; son, Randy Riffe; brother, Edgar Riffe; sisters, Nelda Saunders, Joyce Hahn, and Margaret Haley. Left to cherish Roland’s memory are his daughter, Rhonda Johnson and husband Greg; grandchildren, Natasha, Kristan, Evan and Eric; and a host of other family and friends.

Roland served his country in the United States Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant and was a proud veteran. He worked for Celanese for over 30 years, was the captain of a fishing boat, and owned an Auto Repair shop for a while. Roland was able to find success in anything he tried.  

Roland was a man of faith and served the Lord at the LaPorte Church of Christ for over 40yrs. He loved his church and community and was selfless in serving the Lord and others. Roland also served as Cub Master for the Boy Scouts, loved hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time outdoors.

Roland lived simply but loved large. He was a man of forgiveness, patience, and unconditional love. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Services will be at Clayton Funeral Home 201 S 3rd St. La Porte, TX on Monday February 10.Visitation at 10:00 Am with the service commencing at 11:00 AMInterment will be at Houston National Cemetery.
