I never imagined that would be the last day, that I would never hear your voice again, that you would leave like that... in silence, without saying goodbye, without warning.
A knot was left in my soul, so many things I wanted to tell you, so many hugs I didn't give you, so many laughs we still had to share.
Your departure left an emptiness,
a wound that time doesn't quite know how to heal.
But in the middle of the pain, the love you left behind remains, living in every memory, in every moment we shared.
I didn't have the chance to say goodbye, so today I say:
thank you for being part of my life, thank you for your love, your laughter, your light.
I carry you in my heart, and even though you're no longer here, your memory will live in me forever.

A Heart That Truly Listened
What made Heather so special wasn’t just her outward beauty — though she was absolutely stunning — it was her heart, her spirit, and the way she treated others. She was different than most people. Heather never saw herself as better than anyone else, no matter who you were. She appreciated people, truly listened without judgment, and made you feel seen, valued, and loved.
Her relationship with God was incredible — genuine and deeply rooted. It guided everything she did and radiated through the way she lived. She had this way of making me feel good about myself, even in the moments I didn’t feel worthy. She was encouraging, kind, and always “kept it real,” no matter your stature or what life looked like on the outside.
I’ll never forget the day I visited Heather when I was just 17. She was one of the popular girls, someone everyone admired, and I remember being amazed that she invited me over at all. When she opened the door, there it was — that enormous, radiant smile and those soft, welcoming eyes. In that moment, I felt at home. We shared a deep belief in God and often had conversations that went beyond the surface — spiritual, meaningful, and full of understanding. The presence of God was in her home, and the joy that flowed from her was absolutely infectious.
Heather cared for me in a way few others ever have. No matter the distance or time, we never lost contact. Her laugh — that unique, unforgettable laugh — still rings in my ears, even as I write this. It's the sound of love, joy, and authenticity.
The Heather I will always remember is the one who stood at that door with open arms, a beautiful smile, and a heart full of grace. She was, and always will be, one of the most beautiful souls I’ve ever known.

Heather was best friend turned sister. She was family, we have been through thick and then from day 1. She had the best heart and the best laugh. My beautiful Heather,
I remember the first day we met; it was like meeting my personality twin. The quirky and optimistic way you viewed and lived life was invigorating and authentic. You truly made everyone who met you, even for a second, feel loved, seen, not judged, and safe; even when you weren’t feeling those ways yourself. You hold some of the most memorable and best memories of my 20s, thank you for being a rare beautiful light on this earth. You will be missed so much. Love you, “turtle turtle.”
