Rev. Caldwell Crawford was born in Dillion, South Carolina, on October 16, 1948, to his mother, Mrs. Helen Crawford and father, Mr. Nathaniel Crawford. Born to this union were four sons and one daughter. Preceded in death are his brothers, Nathaniel, Thomas, and Bryan, and his sister, Bobbie. Some of his accomplishments include joining the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant, and serving 8 years with an Honorable Discharge. Rev. Caldwell Crawford graduated from Green River Community College in auburn, Washington with an Associate in Arts. Rev. Crawford worked for over 15 years in the field of Electrical and Electronics as a Technician. He also worked on land and off-shore, and overseas in the oil field environmental and industrial plants. His jobs included Plant and Rig start-ups, Power Control Systems, PLC Conversion upgrades, modification, diagnostics and general maintenance. He also performed installations, calibrations and customer training and maintenance on laboratory and hospital medical equipment. Rev. Caldwell Crawford received many outstanding achievement awards. Rev. Caldwell Crawford was married to Mrs. Emma Bailey-Crawford. They became members of Greater Mount Horeb Missionary Baptist Church. They were under the Pastoral leadership of Pastor Robert B. Jones. It was at this Church, that Rev. Crawford was ordained in 2002 as a Deacon, and four years later ordained as Minister. His children and Grandchildren are Cassonya, Courtney, Jon, Calendra, Carlton, Cristpher, Cammryn, Caldwell II, Cassandra, Aaron, Sheila, Lakerya, Courtin, Bervis, Bervis II, Brittany, Nathaline, Alexius, and Michael. Rev. Caldwell Crawford loved animals. He loved God’s people and he also loved doing and caring for God’s Church. He was a great Man of God to know. Later Rev. Caldwell Crawford moved to Oregon City, Oregon which was related to his job. He later joined St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where he was actively involved in the Outreach Ministry which included, The Prison Ministry and the Nursing Home Ministry, visiting the OSP twice a month and the Nursing Home each Saturday on the month with the praise team lifting their voices for both ministries. He worked also as the Director of the Strong Man Ministries of Portland, Oregon. A Celebration of Life honoring Rev. Caldwell Crawford will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 11:00 am at Greater Mount Horeb Missionary Baptist Church, 9213 Ashville Drive, Houston, Texas 77051 with Rev. Robert B. Jones officiating.
