Obituary of Maria Elizabeth Pinner

Maria Elizabeth Pinner, 77, passed away on May 28, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Friedrich and Franziska Ehrenberg; husband, Jimmie L. Pinner, her infant daughter Patricia, and sister Elfie Shea. Maria is survived by her son, Dr. Jimmy Pinner and his wife, Carol; sister, Fritzi Kanzian, grandchildren, Nicholas and Allison Pinner; her beloved dog, Corkey, and a host of other family and friends. Maria was born in Austria and went by “Mutzi” all of her life. She was 19 when she met and married Jimmie who was stationed in Austria while serving in the US Army. They moved from Austria to New Orleans where their son Jimmy was born. Jimmie’s military service took them back to Germany, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and finally Corpus Christi where he retired. Mutzi enjoyed travel and would take trips back to Austria many times throughout her life. She loved taking care of her family, and was an excellent cook. Mutzi did beautiful needlepoint and quilting. Mutzi adored her grandchildren and was affectionately known as Mammo. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Jimmy and Carol would like to extend a special Thank You to Barb and Corlis Holt, Rod and Louise Derr, and Danielle Long, Mutzi’s angels here on earth. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 7:00 pm at Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home, 9026 Jones Road, Houston, Texas 77065. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 1:00pm at Rocky Hill Cemetery just outside of Lufkin, Texas.
