Obituary of James Duane Davis

James “Jim” Duane Davis, 68, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mable Davis. Jim is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Martha Davis; son, Marc Riehl; daughters, Terri Bartlett, Tiffany Hamilton, and Aimee Flores; brothers, Richard Davis and wife, Lily, Joseph and Michael Davis; sisters, Bonnie Heaney and husband, James, Patricia Davis, Barbara Hinkle and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Michael and Kimberly Riehl, Brittney Davis, Corinna Schneider, James and Jeremiah Braziel, Brian and Julian Hamilton, Jaydon and Isabella Flores; two great grandsons, and a host of other family and friends. Jim was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. After retiring from Ford Motor Company, he retired to Texas and started his own business. Jim was a contractor for more than 20 years and was known to many in the Pearland and surrounding areas as the “House Surgeon.” He was however, known to his children and grandchildren as “Pa Pa” and cherished any opportunity he had to spend time with them. Jim always looked forward to hanging out with his best buddy, Jaydon, whether he was picking him up from school or taking him fishing. Jim will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Visitation and Rosary for Jim will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, with the Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church at 2209 Old Alvin Rd. Pearland, Texas 77581 with Father James Courville officiating.
