Obituary of Barbara Ann Youree

Barbara Ann Youree, 75, of Houston, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Velma Ellis; and her two brothers. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, C.D. Youree; son, Lonnie Dee Youree; daughters, Brenda Ann Bolster, Shannon Kelly Ferguson and husband, Bill; sister, Cherie Holland; grandchildren, Mikel, Morgan, Deno, Matthew and Kelly; five great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Barbara was a 30 year plus employee with the United States Postal Service. She was very strong in her religious faith and a member of Sagemont Church. Barbara loved animals and enjoyed showing Arabian horses for many years. She had her prized horse “Amar” for 35 years. Barbara was affectionately known at “Nan” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Barbara will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Pastor LeRoy “Skip” Smith officiating. The graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm at Farris Cemetery in Huntsville, Texas.
