Obituary of Erlinda Reyes Guerrero

Erlinda Reyes Guerrero, 71, passed away Friday, February 20, 2015. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Joel P. Guerrero; and parents, Santos and Hortence Hernandez. Erlinda is survived by her sons, Joel Guerrero and wife, Ruzanna, Sergio Guerrero and wife, Norma, Juan A. Guerrero and wife, Uche; daughter, Sonia Ysquierdo; brothers, Freddie Hernandez and Santos Hernandez Jr.; sister, Dorothy Munoz; eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Erlinda was a loving, nurturing and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Grandma” to her grandchildren and cherished spending time with them. Erlinda loved shopping, gardening, music and dancing. She enjoyed traveling and going to the casinos to play her favorite slot machines and watching Sanford & Sons and Walker Texas Ranger on the television. Erlinda will forever be remembered for her love of family and the joy she received from spending time together with her family during special occasions and holidays. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A Visitation and Rosary for Erlinda will be held Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas. The visitation will held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will take place Friday, February 27, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland, Texas 77581. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
