Robert Blair Freiley, 51, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Freiley; and brother, Cliff Freiley. Blair is survived by his mother, Mary Freiley; his loving wife, Shelle; sons, Jared Freiley and fiancé, Kaylee; Bradley Freiley; daughter, Katie Norris, and husband, Joshua; step-children, Aaron Reno and Brandy Harvey; sister, Caryn Resnick and husband, Peter; grandchildren, Ryder and Larkin Norris, Madison Harvey; and a host of other family and friends. Blair was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and wonderful provider for his family. He was truly an outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing, camping and spending time outdoors. Blair had even taken classes on fly fishing and was learning how to tie his own flies. He was an avid sports fan and followed Alabama college football and the Houston Texans closely. Blair grew up in Pearland and played Little League baseball and was active in the 4H. He made many lifelong friends and even had a few that he had known since he was two. Blair was known for his sense of humor and his love of jokes; whether he was playing one on someone else or was having one played on him. He retired from the City of Pearland after 20 plus years of service. Blair was affectionately known as “Pop” to his grandchildren and cherished spending time with them. Always known for his generosity, he always had a smile on his face and he never met a stranger as he could and would talk to anyone. Blair will forever be remembered for his standard answer whenever he was asked how he was doing: “Same Old…Same Old”. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for Blair will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place Monday, March 2, 2015 at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Bob Joiner. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
