Obituary of Thomas Lee Petrey

Thomas “Tom” Lee Petrey, 62, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015. He is preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Petrey; brother, Dwayne Petrey; sister, Paulette Maxwell. Tom is survived by his father, Budde Lee Petrey; his wife of 35 years, Toni Petrey; son, Jordan Christopher Petrey; Darrell Petrey and wife, Terry, Danny Petrey and wife, Stephanie; sisters, Linda Anderson and husband, Tom, Kay Marshall and husband, Gary, Carolyn Brecht and husband, Walter, Mary Beth Weaver and husband, Cameron; grandchildren, Chloe Ann, Seth Reigns, and Mekenah Sky Petrey; and a host of other family and friends. Tom was the third of nine brothers and sisters. He worked as a machinist in Taft, California before moving to Houston. His aunt introduced him to Toni and they were married in April of 1979. In 1997, Tom and Toni moved to Pearland. He was an honest, hard worker for American Business Machines and won many awards. Tom cherished the next phase of his life as “Papa” to his grandchildren. He was strong in her faith and loved the Lord. Tom was a 30 year member of Redeemer Episcopal Church of Houston where he served as his church. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. The family will be having Memorial Services in California and in Houston at a later time.
