Jeanne Bell Beasley, 75, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Delma Bell; and brothers, Jim, Burke and Brian Bell. Jeanne is survived by her loving husband of 57 years (Valentine’s Day 1958), Gary Dell Beasley; son, Gary Trace Beasley and wife, Laurie; daughters, Dee Dee Beasley and Kristal Dixson; grandchildren, Julia Ann Dixson Fuqua, Brandon Ryan Dixson, Cameron Reece Dixson, Brice Palmer Beasley; her beloved Chihuahuas, Frito and Denice; and a host of other family and friends. Jeanne grew up in a home that was full of music and art. She learned to play the piano at a young age and her love of playing stayed with her throughout her life. Jeanne loved and appreciated animals. She grew up with pets and believed that people who loved animals were the best people on Earth. She had dancing and talking birds, two dogs and a cat when she was a child. She contributed to animal causes throughout her life. Jeanne enjoyed exercising every day and maintained good health her entire life until her diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease. She and Gary enjoyed traveling all over the United States on his Harley Davidson motorcycle and were members of the Red Raider Road Riders. Their favorite travel destination was always Hawaii where they had a time share and loved spending time exploring the islands. Jeanne was strong in her faith and a devoted member of the First Methodist Church in Houston. She was affectionately known as “Tu Tu” to her grandchildren and cherished spending time with them. Jeanne loved to sew and often made clothes for her children including Kristal’s wedding dress. Jeanne will be missed by all who knew and loved her for her sweet soft touch, and her small, but mighty voice. A Memorial Service for Jeanne will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Houston at 1320 Main Street, Houston Texas 77002 with Rev. Charles Thompson officiating.
