Obituary of Dolores Torres

Dolores Torres, 55, passed away Monday, July 6, 2015. She is preceded in death by her father, Ralph Mendez; and brother, Roy Mendez. Dolores is survived by her mother, Virginia Mendez; her loving husband of 37 years, Genaro Torres; son, Jerry Torres and wife, Sarah; daughters, Amanda Fonseca and husband, Art, Kelli Mendez and husband, Celvin; brothers, Ralph Mendez II and wife, Sylvia, Rene and Paul Mendez; sisters, Debra Tarango, Brenda Brito and husband, Jesse; sister-in-law, Christina Mendez; grandchildren, Erica, Marissa, Destani, Celvin II, Aiden, Adam and Alyssa; and a host of other family and friends. Dolores was a devoted, wife, mother and grandmother that was affectionately known as “Lita” to all her grandchildren. Her family was the biggest part of her life and gave her the greatest joy. Dolores always looked forward to bar-b-ques and family gatherings and opportunities to get together with her brothers and sisters that called her “Lolo”. She loved life and enjoyed, eating out, dancing, margaritas and going to casinos. Dolores will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation and rosary for Dolores will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will take place from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Road, Pearland Texas 77581 with Father Hieu Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
