Obituary of Bettye Jean Robberts

Bettye Jean Robberts, 85, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bennie and Sophie Horton; husband, Brynce H. Robberts; son, Randall Robberts; and sister, Shirley Shofner. Bettye is survived by her daughter, Paula Smith and husband, Jim; daughter-in-law, Mary Robberts; grandchildren, Heather Smith, Randall Robberts and wife, Savannah, and Travis Robberts; great-grandchildren, Ava, Preston, Olivia, Cameron; and a host of other family and friends. Bettye loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. She was an avid Houston sports fan and enjoyed following the Astros, Rockets and Texans. Bettye and Brynce loved traveling all over the country and had wonderful trips to Alaska and Canada. Their favorite destination however was Colorado where they got to enjoy all the beauty of the Rockies. Bettye loved being with her family and friends and developed many lifelong friendships through the years. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. The visitation and service for Bettye will be held Friday, July 17, 2015 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will take place at 12:00 pm and the service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Bubba Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
