Obituary of George Smith

George Smith, Sr., passed away August 2, 2015 at the age of 70. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on March 28, 1945. He was preceded in death by his father George Smith and mother Alma Johnson Smith. He is survived by his son George Smith II and wife Jennifer, grandson George Joseph Smith III, and granddaughter Kayla Smith. George enjoyed going out to dinner. Waiters at many of his favorite restaurants become close friends and would even stop by to say hello. George loved to travel and take road trips throughout Texas and the surrounding states. He was a big animal lover and enjoyed his many dogs and cats. He was affectionately known as “Paw Paw” to his grand kids. George worked for many years at Carbide & Supply and had many longtime friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. The family will be receiving friends at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2015 and a memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway Pearland, Texas 77581.
