Alejandro Ignacio Almaguer, 69, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ascencion and Mauricia Almaguer. Alejandro was survived by his loving wife, of 43 years, Patricia Almaguer; sons, Alejandro Almaguer Jr., Christopher John Almaguer; daughter, Erica Nicole alexander and husband, Damien; brothers, Ascencion Almaguer Jr. and wife, Rose, Antonio Almaguer and wife, Linda, David Almaguer and wife, Liz; sister, Anna Martinez; grandchildren, Gabriella Almaguer, Ash Alexander and Trent Alexander; and a host of other family and friends.
Alejandro loved the outdoors; whether he was fishing, hunting or working in his garden. He had an amazing green thumb and grew many fruits and vegetables as well as pecan trees. Alejandro was known to share the fruits of his labor with all his family and friends. In his younger days, Alejandro was a Dallas Cowboys fan but later became a huge Houston Texans fan even while his family stayed with the Cowboys. He loved the rivalry and looked forward to watching the games while barbequing in the back yard. Alejandro’s greatest accomplishment was his grandchildren and he was affectionately known as “Grandpa” to all of them. He loved staying in touch with his family and cherished any opportunity he could to spend time with them. Alejandro will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him as well as his beloved dog, Thor.
A visitation and funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation begins at 10:00 am the funeral service follows at 11:00 am. Interment will take place at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
