Walt delivered our mail for many years here in Pearland. My father-in-law( also a
veteran) had many visits with Walt when he'd deliver his mail to him by hand and
with the excuse of getting a cookie out of the dad's cookie jar. On more than one occasion when dad had fallen Walt would let me know he helped my mom get him back up. We missed Walt after he retired from the Post Office. He was a really caring and compassionate man and will be missed. So sorry for your loss.

Mr. Walt was our beloved mail carrier for many years. During my time as a stay-at-home mom raising small children, his was the only adult conversation which I would share on many days. Somehow I think he knew that. He was always cheerful and neighborly and could tell one heck of a story. My kids looked forward to his daily deliveries and would race down the driveway to be the first to get the mail from Mr. Walt, whom they adored. He even knew the names of our dogs and would pitch them dog treats, no matter how obnoxious they were for barking at him every day. Mr. Walt will be greatly missed, but we will always remember his warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Walt, was a dear friend for many years. I will never forget his upbeat spirit and contagious laugh. It didn't matter how long it had been since you had seen him, he was always the same. The love he had for Sylvia, children and grandchildren is legacy of love. Thank you Walt for all the years of friendship and happily sharing Vonna with our family. You were dearly loved by all who knew you. May God give peace to all who are heavy hearted. See you again on the other side my friend.

I thought of you today,
but that is nothing new.
I thought about you yesterday
and days before that too.
I think of you in silence.
I often speak your name.
All I have are memories
and your picture in a frame.
I will ALWAYS love and miss you Dad.
