Obituary of Dorothy Watson

Dorothy Watson, age 84 of Pearland, passed away on October 16, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Ottilie (Helwig) Schuette. She is survived her her husband of 68 years, Arnold; son, Charles Watson & his wife Sandra; daughter, Norah Dulaney and Renee Anton; sister, Ruth Hanover; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Dorothy was born September 9, 1924 in New Ulm, Texas. She resided in the Houston area since 1948 and had a career with South Western Bell. She was also a member of the Communication Workers of America Union for 35 years. Dorothy was a charter member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church in Pearland and was proud of her ELCA faith. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. The grandchildren affectionately called her “Granny” or “G.G.” Throughout the years, Dorothy loved spending time with her family and dancing. Visitation for Dorothy will be on Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 19, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Clayton Chapel. Paster Howard Agnew will be officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland.
