Obituary of Robert Dennis Cheney

Robert “Bob” Dennis Cheney, 69, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Harriet Cheney; and daughter-in-law, Dollie Shoemaker. Bob is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 24 years, Sharon Cheney; sons, Billy Shoemaker and girlfriend, Kylean Perry, Robbie Shoemaker; daughters, Rhonda Hutchison, Meagan Cheney, Paige Shoemaker-Krajca, Carmye Castellow and husband, David; sisters, Sandy Mize, Elaine Cogbill and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Cody Wilbanks, Aiden Hutchison, Cole Williams, Sidney, Aley and Cecil Krajca, Cara and Courtney Castellow, Natalie, Kelissa Belle and Taylor Shoemaker, Vanessa Hall; and a host of other family and friends. Bob was a devoted husband, father and grandfather that loved and cared for his family. He loved motorcycles, working on cars and especially loved his Honda Shadow 750. Bob enjoyed listening to great music and playing guitar in bands. He was an excellent provider and support for Sharon and his family. Bob was truly the love of Sharon’s life. They cherished spending time together and traveling. Bob will forever be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor and playing pranks on his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for Bob will be held Monday, November 16, 2015 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Johnny McDuff officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
