Maria de la Luz Trujillo, 52, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015. She is survived by her parents, Jose Cruz and Natalia Trujillo; brothers, Jose Cruz Trujillo Jr. and Juan Anthony Trujillo; sisters, Veronica Ramirez and husband, Juvenal, Esther Razo and husband, Andres, Alma Trujillo, Judy Bowden and husband, Jim. Maria is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces, Andres Razo Jr., Juvenal Ramirez, Maria Razo, Christopher Bowden, Mark Razo, Joshua Razo, Jessica Bowden, Anthony Trujillo, Kayln Trujillo, Thomas Ramirez, Alejandro Razo, Natalie Trujillo, Jimmy Bowden and Christina Bowden; great nephew and nieces, Joseph Razo, Gabriella Razo, Olivia Bowden, Julian Zamora and Ariana Razo; and a host of other family and friends.
Maria, also known as “Tuti” or “Pruder” to family and close friends, loved her family dearly and considered all of her nieces and nephews as her own children. She was a devoted catholic and disciple of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Fatima. Because of her faith in our Lord she knew He always gave her strength and helped to carry her cross. She loved to cook and always looked for ways to please and help other people. She took great joy in sneaking snacks and treats to her nieces and nephews behind their parents’ backs. Maria saw the good in everyone and gave love to everyone no matter how she was treated. For such a tiny person she had an amazingly big heart. Through all of her illness, she never complained of the pain she was feeling and was an inspiration to everyone who knew her. Maria loved listening to Elvis, watching the Golden Girls, Family Feud and anything with Chuck Norris. She was nostalgic and still used an old film camera and always loved looking at the dates on all the coins in her purse. Maria will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
