Obituary of Jean Wallace

Bernice Jean “Jeannie” Wallace, age 84 of Friendswood, passed away on October 22, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mason W. & Bernice (Timmons) Longmire; husband, Cliff E. Wallace; and grandchild, Morgan Wallace. She is survived by her son, Craig Wallace; daughters, Carol Jones & her husband Charlie and Carla Wallace; sister, Jill Longmire Gilbreath & her husband Jack; grandchildren, Mason & Cameron Chambers, Chea Chamberlain & her husband Monico, Winter Wallace, Whitney & Bailey Wallace; nephew & niece, Scott & Staci Gilbreath; and many other family & friends. The family would especially like to thank Jean’s loving friend and neighbor, Janis Schumann, for her tireless dedication and friendship. Jean was born on October 6, 1925 in Cameron, Texas and resided in the Houston area since 1941. Jean was a people person who was dedicated to her family and had a gift for making everyone feel special. She was always a lady in her actions. Jean and Cliff were happily married for more than 35 years. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and they affectionately called her “Nenie”. Visitation for Jean will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2009 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 am in the Clayton Chapel. Douglas Troxell and Bubba Chambers will be officiating. A Graveside Service will take place later that day at 4:00 pm in Minerva, Texas.
