Obituary of Adaleen West

Adaleen West passed away on October 28, 2009. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Ted Nolen, Johnny Nolen, Harry Nolen, Victor Nolen, Melvy Nolen, Gladys Bonario, and Thelma Cunningham. She was married to Jack West for over 50 years, who also preceded her in death. She is survived by daughter Sally Garner & her husband Leon; son Nolen West & his wife, Kathleen; grandchildren and great-grand children, Bret and Julie Garner, Jared & his wife Amy, Zachary and Jacob, Curtis and Terri Garner, Chad, Jordan and Lane, Morgan and Cathleen Garner, Madeleine and Miles, Jake and Kim Garner, Madison and Max, Mark and Susan West, Jack, Amy and Robin, Monica and Gary Branch, Haley and Chase, Andrew and Karena West, Hunter and Nathan; and special niece, Kathy Glines. Other survivors include sisters-in-law Ellen West, Marian Nolen, Alma Nolen, and Fay Nolen plus many nieces and nephews. Adaleen was born in Liverpool, Texas on March 10, 1914 to John Nolen and Roana Stockwell. She was an extremely talented seamstress, but her passion was watching her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participate in sports. Adaleen seldom missed a game and attended many practices. One of her last comments was that she would miss the game Thursday. Visitation for Adaleen will be on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm in the Clayton Chapel. Pastor Aaron Kalbas from Epiphany Lutheran Church Pearland will be officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland.
