Our thoughts and prayers are with the family in this time of mourning and great rejoicing that Jerry has made it to that place where our hands of life are dealt from and is probably kicking butt and taking names. Poker is such a unpredictable game as is life and although Jerry was dealt a bad hand he made the most of it and showed everyone of us the kind of person we all have it in us to be. I hope that we all take something from his teachings both on and off the table. Rest in peace my friend and we hope no one messes with you up there!

I am very glad to have know him for just a few years when I first meet him playing, of course poker. He always had a smile and a great attitude which he carried with him through the last years of his fight with a terrible monster, cancer. I always thought of Jerry as a great friend, even thou I had only know him for only a few years and will miss him. Hope to see you at the final table my friend.
With much love

Jerry was a great guy to be around. I loved sitting at the poker table with him and trying to figure him out. He always had tricks up his sleeve. He will truly be missed. Rest easy Ol' Buddy.

I met Jerry over in Clear Lake at a poker game. What I noticed most about Jerry is that he really enjoyed the game. I have seen many players in my day and I truly can say hat I never met anyone who enjoyed the game more than Jerry. He approached his battle with leukemia the same way as he played poker, He gave it his all. I miss jerry already. I hope to see him again. Take care my friend. The Beemana

My deepest sympathies to Jerry's family on their loss. I knew Jerry through our poker play together in the "World Series of Alvin. " I considered Jerry a worthy opponent and it was my honor to call him a friend. Jerry was one of the first people to offer his support when my son passed unexpectedly last year. When I would see him after that his first words were always to ask how I was doing although he himself was in the fight of his life. This is the type of man Jerry was and this high character is what I will remember most fondly. May all of his pocket deuces (ducks) turn to Swans on the flop and may he rest in eternal peace.

Jerry is one of the nicest guys I have ever met, and maybe the bravest. Never heard one word of complaint or self pity from him, yet he had more reason for both than anyone I know! I know Jerry is turning seven deuce into a monster winning hand up in heaven right now and feeling no pain. My thoughts and prayers to all of his family!
