Obituary of Joycelyn Stock Litzman

Joycelyn “Joy” Stock Litzman, 84, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016. She is preceded in death by her parents, John Jr. and Annie Lorenz Stock; and infant brother, David Stock. Joy is survived by her loving husband of 67 years, James “Jim” Litzman; son, Ricky James Litzman and wife, Judy; daughters, Karon Ann Beukema, Diane Margaret Williamson, Jan Francis Krpec, Lori Marie Wolter and husband, Gale; brothers, Bill Stock and wife, Lucille, Harold Stock and wife, Margie; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter; and a host of other family and friends. Joy and Jim were high school sweethearts that met at a dance. She and Jim were inseparable from that moment on. Joy was a devoted wife and mother that enjoyed sewing, making clothes for her children and was an amazing cook. She cherished spending time with her family during holidays and family get-togethers. Joy loved playing dominoes, bridge and putting together puzzles. She had a wonderful green thumb and could grow just about any plant or flower. Joy will forever be remembered for her loving smile and her caring nature. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Joy will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral mass will take place Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 3:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 20120 FM 485, Burlington, TX 76519. Interment will follow at Barclay Cemetery, Barclay, Texas.
