Thomas Odell Rice, Jr. passed away on Monday, July 4 at the age of 86. Tom resided with his wife Anne for the last 25 years in Pearland, Texas, but he lived and traveled all over the world.
Tom was born on December 7, 1929 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. After high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served for two years. He began working at Dupont and retired after 40 + years as a construction engineer. He and Anne retired in Country Place in Pearland. He is preceded in death by his wife, Anne Hunt Rice, his parents, Edith and Thomas Rice and his sister Alice Pugh. He is survived by his daughter, Pam Kady of Wilmington, Delaware, his son Kendall Rice of Houston, his stepdaughters Kathy Davis of Pearland, Karen Hunt of Austin, Texas and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pearland Golf Club at Country Place. A Memorial Service for Tom will be held Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
