Obituary of Willie Kenneth Doty

Willie Kenneth Doty Jr., 54, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2016. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Doty Sr. Ken is survived by his mother, Dorothy Doty; brother, Scott Doty; nephew, Thomas Paul Doty; niece, Khristina Doty; and a host of other family and friends. Ken graduated from Bay City High School in 1980 before earning a BS in Business at Stephen F. Austin State University. He was commissioned in the Texas National Guard as an Armor Officer. He was a graduate of the Army Armor Officer’s Basic Course and Airborne Course. He held many positions in the Army from Platoon Leader to Executive Officer. He was also a member of the 75th Division of the Army Reserve. Ken loved supporting the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo where he was a longtime member of the Swine Committee. He loved watching the Houston Texans and was a season ticket holder. Ken was an avid classic car and truck restorer and enjoyed traveling and fishing in his spare time. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. The visitation for Kenneth will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 3:00 until 5:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. A graveside service for Kenneth will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 1:00 pm at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2426 Cullen Blvd., Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating.
