Dorina Gesmundo Aguilar, age 59 of Pearland, passed away on November 22, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sofronio & Laura (Reyes) Gesmundo, and husband. She is survived by her sisters, Lorna Aguila & her husband Andre, Medelina Cruz & her husband Marlon, and Irma Gregorio; brother, Victorio Gesmundo Sr. & his wife Corazon; grandchildren, Sean & Danica Celerio; and nieces & nephews, Russell Gesmundo, Sheila Celerio & her husband Danny, Victorio Gesmundo, Kristoffer Aguila, Juanin Aguila, Donn Gregorio, Arra Gregorio, & Samantha Cruz.
Dorina was born on August 25, 1950 in the Philippines. Dorina came to the United States in 1976 and settled in Miami, Florida. She was a registered nurse since 1972 and practiced her skills with dedication and hard work. Dorina was the matriarch of the family and helped many of her relatives join her in the United States. She loved family gatherings when she could cook for and eat with everyone. Dorina was happily married for ten years. She often traveled back to the Philippines to visit her family and friends
Visitation for Dorina will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. Burial will take place in the Philippines.
