Obituary of Berry Quincy Shuman

Berry Quincy Shuman, a resident of Webster, Texas, and former resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away October 8, 2007, at the age of 91 years. Berry was born July 5, 1916 in Manatee County, Florida to the late Alfred and Mary (Jones) Shuman. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Berry was preceded in death by Melba Inez Adams. He is survived by his loving family: two sons, Brian N. Shuman and his wife, Jill, and Bruce M. Shuman and his wife, Diana; one daughter, Laura Bordenave and her husband, Tony; six grandchildren: Heather Grant, Mark Shuman, Elizabeth Shuman, Michael Bordenave, Kate Shuman, and Daniel Bordenave, and; 2 great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Berry was retired from the United States Department of Agriculture as a Claims Examiner. He enjoyed reading, music, dancing, various sports, and especially spending time with his family. Private graveside services will be held on Monday, October 15, 2007 at 11 AM at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans, Louisiana with Rev. J. Richard Randels officiating.
