Obituary of Peggy Jean Blevins

Peggy Jean Blevins, 80, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017.  She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara Upshaw; her loving husband, Billy Blair Blevins; son, Kenneth W. Blevins; sons-in-law, Mike Hopkins and Chris Corrales; and six brothers.  She is survived by her daughters, Sheila Grimes and husband, Jimmy, Jo Hopkins, Kay Dixon and husband, Mickey and Kim Smith; sister, Ruby Speelman; grandchildren, Jamie, Jeni, Nicole, Charlie, Kenny, Mickey, Jeffery; eight great grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Peggy was affectionately known to the grandchildren as “Me Maw”.  Family was of the greatest importance to her and she cherished spending quality time with them for special occasions and holiday gatherings at her house.  Peggy enjoyed going to “The Patio” to socialize with friends and play darts.  She especially loved shopping and looking for the next great deal.  Peggy’s great pleasure was traveling to Port Aransas and spending time at the condo.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Peggy will be held Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held at 1:00 pm with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm.  Interment will follow at Forest Park East in Webster, Texas.
