Obituary of David Kenneth Milton Wiederhold
David Kenneth Milton Wiederhold, 29, passed away, Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He is preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Wiederhold. David is survived by his parents, Randall and Susan Wiederhold; his loving wife, Jozlyn Rose Wiederhold; brother, Christopher Wiederhold and wife, Jerebeth; sisters, Victoria Wheeler and husband, Drew and Alexandra Wiederhold; Kenneth Neel; beloved cats, Oreo and Bella Rose; and a host of many other family and dear friends.
David was affectionately known as “Bear”; some days he was a Teddy Bear and other days he was a Grumpy Bear. He demonstrated a strong personality, but was a charismatic and charming person. David was a good listener and counselor to anyone who approached him in need. He was highly intelligent and enjoyed engaging in smart conversations, sometimes taking the conversation above everyone’s level. David was an avid reader and loved military science fiction. He was a “gamer” and especially enjoyed PC and xBox games. David found great pleasure being a collector of Legos, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and nutcrackers. He enjoyed most types of music but was especially fond of classic or contemporary country music. David courageously embraced all of life’s challenges and was an inspiration to all. He will forever be remembered for his love for telling bad jokes, his amazing sense of humor and ability to make all those around him smile. From being born in Austin, to returning home in Houston, David was a true Texan at heart. He died with his boots on. David will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
