Obituary of Efren Bolabon Orquita

Efren Bolabon Orquita, 75, of Pearland, Texas passed away on October 19, 2017. He was born on May 27, 1942 to Petra Bolabon and Julian Orquita. Efren was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Simeon Orquita, and his sister, Lourdes Bautista. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 49 years, Winnie Orquita; sons, Vener Orquita and Benedict Orquita (Lilibeth); daughter, Vivian Del Pilar (Cesar); sisters, Aida Cayonte and Rebecca Orquita; five grandchildren; and a host of other family and dear friends.

In his younger years, Efren enjoyed bowling, playing chess, solitaire and basketball. He always looked forward to spending time with his sons, daughter and grandchildren. Efren was a great leader and elder in Couples for Christ and other community organizations.  He was a good provider for his wife and family. Efren truly had a servant’s hearts and never said no to those in need. 

Efren worked in Bahrain for many years. Although he was far from his children while they were growing up he always found the time to connect with them, by writing or calling every week and was always there when they needed him. Even now that all of us kids are grown and have families of our own, he was always there. We are so blessed and thankful that he was in our lives and we will surely miss our dear daddy.  Efren will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Services for Efren will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. with Father Edmund Eduarte officiating.
