Obituary of Harry Francis Lively

Harry Francis Lively, 78, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017.  He is preceded in death by his parents, John and Lois Lively.  Harry is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Jeannie Lively; daughter, DeLee Lively-Torti and husband, Robert; brothers, Tony Lively and wife, Dana, Rusty Lively; sister, Sue Olson and husband, Al; grandchildren, Faith, Chloe and Zack Torti; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Harry was a proud American that went off to serve his country in the United States Marines at the age of 17.  Within 2 years, he met the love of his life, Jeannie, and spent 58 wonderful years together.  Harry loved baseball in high school and carried that love for the game throughout his entire life.  He enjoyed the great outdoors; and could be found many days fishing, boating and waterskiing.  Harry truly had a servant’s heart and felt a great responsibility to helping his fellow man.  He served on the Houston Fire Department for 27 years.  Harry was a devoted family man, husband, father, uncle, and friend to everyone.  He was strong in his faith and often wrote upbeat and positive daily devotionals.  Harry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Harry’s honor to the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Houston, the Ronald McDonald House Med Center or the Gideons International.

Services for Harry will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 3005 Pearland, Parkway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will begin at 9:30 am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow the services at SouthPark Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
