Obituary of Margaret Gutierrez Desoto

Margaret Gutierrez Desoto, 84, of Pearland, Texas passed away on December 9, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents Julia Gomez and Ygnacio Gutierrez, and sister Rita Lee. Left to cherish Margaret’s memory are her sons, Carmel Zarate, Jr. and Braulio Zarate; brother, Ygnacio Gutierrez, Jr., many grandchildren including Gabrielle Zarate and Mickalle Hoevelman and husband Jared, many great grandchildren including Lio Hoevelman, and a host of other family members and dear friends.

Margaret was always the life of the party. She was loud, loved to dance, and lived a carefree life. She would travel to Tennessee to be close to her sister. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her great grandson, Lio. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Margaret will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 am at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
