Obituary of Billy Edwin Davis

Please share a memory of Billy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Billy “Bill” Edwin Davis, 77, passed away surrounded by family, Monday, May 7, 2018.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Hettie Davis; brother, Everett Lee Davis; and sister, Donna Faye Norman.  Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lynette Davis; daughter, Jeannene Ann Davis; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Bill, as he was known to everyone, was always sure to let others know of his young days as a hand on a real working ranch in Beaver, Oklahoma. He never quite understood nor engaged in the show horse scene of his wife and daughter at his home in Almeda. However, he always supported it. His real passion was deer hunting with friends and family at leases all over Texas. Bill was also a proud patriot and served the United States Marine Corps. He was a strong-willed man, standing for what he believed in and he lived life on his own terms.  Bill was always there to support his family, close and distant.  Of note, Dad's career as a Superintendent and Contractor in commercial construction put him in the middle of the creation of Galleria I, Pennzoil, Tenneco, MD Anderson, and other Houston landmarks.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Friday, May 11, 2018 at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.  Those attending the graveside will need to line up in Lane 2 at the cemetery no earlier than 11:00 am.
