Obituary of Loretta Jean Poston

Loretta Jean Poston, 85, of Pearland, Texas, passed away on June 1, 2018. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Albert Paul Poston; children, Paula Bowling and husband, Jerry, David Poston and wife, Pati, Laura Swinson and husband, Chad; grandchildren, Jeremy Bowling, Jana Baker, Lindsey Stout, Jessica Bowling, Chris Poston, Nick Poston, Mackenzie Swinson, Cassidy Swinson, Drew Swinson; great grandchildren, Kaleb Stout, Kylie Stout, Tristan Stout, Lucas Baker, Alaina Baker, Annelise Baker, Isabel Baker; siblings, Marcella Kankey, Armilda McCormack, Nettie Tipton, Lonnie Bagwell; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Loretta enjoyed going on camping trips: back to her child hood home at the Ozarks in Arkansas every year, RV camping and the Humming Bird Festival in Rockport, Yellowstone, and Galveston Reefs. She loved spending time with her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was awarded secretary of the year at U of H Clearlake. Playing bridge and rook with friends was one of her favorite things to do. Loretta enjoyed picking strawberries and figs to make preserves, sewing, oil painting, and cooking and serving fabulous meals. She loved to go to baseball games and gospel quartet concerts with her husband, Paul. Most of all Loretta was a woman of strong faith who loved to serve the Lord Jesus Christ and attending church with her family. She was a loving soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
