Obituary of Paul Elmer Meyer

Paul Elmer Meyer, 65, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Erna Meyer.  Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 25 years, Frances Meyer; sons, Tony Meyer, Chad Meyer, Douglas Calhoun and wife, Tammy; daughters, Krystal Moreno, Melinda Landry and husband, Steven; sister, Karen McCutcheon and husband, Ken, grandchildren, Brittney, Jessica, Dakota, Mireya, Jayden, Harley, Emiley, and Bristol; and a host of other family and dear friends.

Paul grew up in Stover, Missouri and graduated from Stover High School.  He was an excellent provider for his family and worked for many years as and forklift and crane operator.  Paul was strong in his faith and was a founding member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Pearland.  He loved doing yardwork, gardening and sitting outside enjoying nature.  Paul enjoyed watching NASCAR, NFL, NBA in his free time.  He also enjoyed staying up to date on current events and was known to record the 6 am news broadcasts so that he could watch them when he woke up.  Paul will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Paul’s memory to Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5515 Broadway Street, Pearland, Texas 77581 or to St. Paul Lutheran School, 305 Forest Street, Stover, MO 65078.

Services for Paul will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.  The visitation will be held from 2:00 until 3:00 pm with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm with Pastor Jon Salminen officiating.
