Obituary of Sabrina Renae Flowers

Please share a memory of Sabrina to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Sabrina Renae Smith Flowers graced the world with her beautiful and loving presence on October 9, 1964.  She was born in Houston, Texas to the late Linnie Smith and Susie Davis Smith.

With the blessing of being raised in a loving, Christian home, Sabrina received Christ at an early age.  She united with Jones Memorial Untied Methodist Church, where she served and wholeheartedly enjoyed praise and worship service.  She attended J.J. Rhodes Elementary and James Madison Sr. High School, where she excelled in academics and participated as a flag dancer.

In 1985, she met Bowana Flowers, and after being engaged the bells of matrimony rang on June 8, 1996.  To this union, three children (Tia, Tacharra and Taneshia) were raised.  During this phase of her journey, Sabrina stayed active in many social activities, continued helping others and being a role model for her children.

Sabrina worked for several years as a CAN (Certified Nurse Assistant)/CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) for Westbury Place and other nursing facilities.  After 20 years (20) years of service, she retired and continued private care duties.  Remembering Sabrina is to cherish the impact that she made on the lives she knew and loved.  Her life symbolizes love, devotion, but more than that, shared her loved for the Lord.  She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

With her mind focused on eternal life, Sabrina’s journey ended on June 25, 2018, when she proudly walked across the line that separates Earth from Heaven.  As she went on to meet her Master and loved ones, she showed no fear.

Sabrina leaves in God’s care and to cherish her memories, her husband, Bowana Flowers; three daughters, Tia Smith (Rayford) , Tacharra Smith (Neodoshia) and Taneshia Smith, all of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Jamarion, Jadyn, Kia, Jada, Logan, Tracy, Kyha, Kamron, Lonnell and expecting Rayven; sister, Lolita Harris (Willie); nieces and nephews, Lennie, Linetria, Chris, Jamarkus, Altranise and Wilnequa; brother-in-law, Albert Bailey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
