Obituary of Placido G Rodriguez

Placido G. “Willie” Rodriguez, 69, of Rosharon, Texas, passed away August 10, 2018. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Angela Daniels, Beatrice Escobedo, and son, Christopher Rodriguez. Left to cherish his memory is his mother, Guadalupe R. Saenz; his loving wife of 48 years, Oralia Rodriguez; sons, Eric Rodriguez, Jason Rodriguez and wife, Natalie; brother, Gilberto Rodriguez and wife, Yolanda; grandchildren, Zane and Kai Rodriguez, and a host of other family and dear friends.

Willie was a good husband, grandfather and friend. He placed Oralia on a pedestal their entire marriage, always taking care of her every need. You would seldom find one without the other after Willie’s retirement. Willie was a dedicated and hardworking employee for S.N.K. Tool Company for over 34 years and was a wonderful provider for his family. He was strong in his faith and never let his relationship with God waiver. He had a great sense of humor and was always able to find the light and laughter during sad or tough times. Willie believed in forgiveness and lived by the phrase, “Forgive them and forget about it”. He believed in love and would let everyone know they needed to love one another. He had a special place in his heart for his two dogs Mercedes and Kayko, which were by his side at his passing. Willie adored his grandchildren, Zane and Kai, and enjoyed showing off the hats they would buy for him. He was a strong patriot and a proud veteran, having served in the United States Marine Corp. Military honors will be performed at graveside for Willie’s dedicated service to his country. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A visitation for Willie will take place at Real Life Church, 1634 Central Blvd. Suite C, Brownsville, Texas 78521, on Monday, August 13, 2018, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A second visitation and funeral service will be held at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, on Wednesday, August 15, 2018. The visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am when the service begins. Interment at Houston National Cemetery will follow.
