Obituary of George Terrett Stafford, Jr.

George Terrett Stafford Jr., 84, passed away Friday, August 24, 2018.  He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Anna Stafford; and loving wife of 60 years, Joyce Stafford.  Left to cherish his memory are his son, Scot Stafford and wife, Donna; daughters, Lisa Stafford Friedrichsen and husband, Gerald, Tina Stafford Harrison and husband, Steve; sister, Audrey Ruth Weil; grandchildren, Kristyn Jean, Courtney Gallagher; step-granchildren, Kyle and Kayla Harrison; great grandchildren, Peyton and Hayden Gallagher; and a host of other family and dear friends.

George was an excellent provider for his family and a devoted member of Epiphany Lutheran Church.  He was strong in his faith and gave most of the credit for his service to his wife, Joyce. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. George loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, wood working and target shooting.  He was a loving father and grandfather that cherished spending time with his family.  George will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Epiphany Lutheran Church.  A Memorial Service for George will be held Saturday, September 1, 2018 at 11:00 am at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5515 Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Jon Salminen officiating.
