Robert Eugene Freiley, 72, a resident of Pearland, passed away on November 7, 2007. He was born on August 29, 1935, in Brookwood, Alabama. Robert proudly served his country in the U.S Army from 1957-1959. He married Mary Burns in 1959. They resided in the Houston area since that time and moved to Pearland in 1966. He was an employee of Fogle Equipment as a Heavy Equipment Salesman. Robert enjoyed a variety of activities. He loved the outdoors, deer hunting, and traveling with his wife. He was president of the Pearland Area Dad’s Club and the Pearland Texans Little League Baseball and Football Teams. Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Nora Freiley and son, Clifton Eugene Freiley. He is survived by his wife Mary, son Robert Blair Freiley, and his wife Shelle; daughter Caryn Resnick and her husband Peter; six grandchildren, Chris Casey, Bradley Freiley, Jared Freiley, Katie Freiley, Trista Freiley, and Joshua Resnick; one great-grandchild, Reese Bridges; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM Friday, November 9, 2007 at Clayton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Clayton Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Southpark Cemetery. Officiating will be Dr. Bob Joiner. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church-Pearland, Library Fund, 2314 N. Grand Blvd., Pearland, TX 77581, 281-485-1466.
