Obituary of Carl E. Carr

Carl E. Carr September 26, 1927 - November 22, 2010 Carl Carr, 83, of La Porte passed away Monday November 22, 2010. He was born September 26, 1927 in Irene, Texas to Margie Lowe and RD Carr. Carl lived in the hill country of Bynum, Texas, where he began serving in the Navy. After he was honorably discharged from the Navy he moved to Mertzon, Texas. In 1955 he moved to Harris County, living in La Porte and Baytown. He was a member of the fraternal order of the Eagles Lodge, VFW, and American Legion. Carl loved to play golf, go fishing and dancing. He is survived by his son Carlo Carr of Houston and his friend of many years Leona Moyen. A memorial service will be held Friday November 26, 2010 at 2PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel.
