Obituary of Rachel Ozell Cartwright

Rachel Ozell Cartwright June 26, 1917 - March 26, 2012 Kemah — Rachel Ozell Cartwright, 94, of Kemah, TX. Our beloved Mother and Grandmother peacefully passed on to Heaven at 3:45pm on Monday, March 26, 2012. She was born Rachel Ozell Morgan to Walter and Dollie (Wallace) Morgan on June 26, 1917 in Loco, Oklahoma. Rachel was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years Clyde Martin Cartwright ; two sons, Zack Cartwright and Larry Cartwright; one daughter, Ester Lou Moore Hunter Weems; son in laws, Randal Zimmer and Doug Skinner; parents Walter and Dollie Morgan; brother, Grant Morgan and five sisters, Odella Morgan, Orene Spann, Francis Stanley, Opel Underwood and Olena Spears; grandsons Gary Skinner and Daryl Zimmer. She is survived by her son Jerry Cartwright (Judy); daughters, Wanda Zimmer and Judy Skinner and daughter in law, Faye Cartwright. Also left to cherish her memory are her 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. “We would like to thank you, Granny, for sharing all your love and grace with us before leaving to be with Grandpa Clyde, your sisters and brother. Your children in heaven have missed you terribly just as we will here on earth. Don’t worry about us, Granny, you raised us right.” Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Paul U. Lee Funeral Home in LaPorte, Tx.
