Ellis Lee Cooper, 77, of La Porte passed away Friday December 11, 2009. He was born February 8, 1932 in Twinton, Tennessee to Verble and Arthur Cooper. He is survived by daughters Sherrye Johnson and husband Richard, Lisa Haynes, brothers Charles Cooper, Shirlie Cooper, sisters Janet Warden, Sandra Fowler, and one granddaughter Kelsey Johnson.
A visitation will be held on Friday December 18, 2009 at 6PM-9PM at Paul U. Lee La Porte Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of usual remembrances donations may be made to the USO fund for the troops, USO World Headquarters, Dept. WS, P.O. Box 96860, Washington, DC 20090-6860.
