Duane and I were friends for almost 18 years. We shared an office at Happy Harbor ,for several of those years. He and I shared our pictures ,families and memories. Also the good days and the sad ones.Often it was a joke or a gig at me (sometimes political!) and the discussion would begin.Usually ending with him singing ,whistling or humming "The Muffin Man" about a hundred times that day ,because he knew it drove me crazy!I wouldn't have traded those times for anything.At one point ,I became ill and had to have a serious surgery. One of the first people to call was Duane ,kidding and joking to cheer me up. He was a good friend ,a good soul and he will be missed very much.
