Obituary of Loyd Douglas Donahoe

Loyd Douglas Donahoe December 18, 1944 - September 05, 2016 Mr. Loyd Douglas Donahoe, of Pasadena, Texas, passed from this life on September 5, 2016. He was born on December 18th, 1944, in Pasadena, Texas to the late Loyd H. Donahoe and Wilma L. Donahoe. Known to most as Doug, he lived the majority of his life in La Porte, Texas. As a teenager, Doug worked at Pal’s Pharmacy. As an adult, he worked for Pfeiffer Electric, as an electrician for E.I. DuPont for 26 years, as well as serving the public as a police officer for both Morgan’s Point, Texas, and La Porte, Texas. Doug was preceded in death by: father, Loyd H. Donahoe, father-in-law, Luther L. Moore, and mother-in-law, Margaret L. Moore. Survivors include: wife Marilyn Donahoe, daughter Kim Hoyt and husband Courtney of Dickinson, Texas; daughter Rhonda Lauritzen and husband Clarence of Orange, Texas; son Bryan Donahoe and wife Elaine of Dallas, Georgia; mother Wilma L. Donahoe of La Porte, Texas; grandchildren Brittany, Andrew, Abbey, and Emily; brothers, Ken Donahoe and wife Nancy, David Donahoe and wife Sonya, numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 8th, 2016, at 7pm at the Southside Church of Christ, 4110 Preston Ave., Pasadena, Texas, 77505.
