Marlin was a very quiet, sincere and caring man. He always made Mary and I feel a part of Second Baptist Church even after we moved away and returned to visit. He will be greatly missed by everyone at Second Baptist Church. He was an important part of the Sunday morning service by being an usher, giving the offertory prayer to making sure that every pew was straight and in line. He always paid attention to details. Thank You Marlin for being our friend.

Marlin was my step dad, he was the first person to say the family prayer for any holiday. He was the love of my moms life, her best friend. We will miss him so much, sweet, caring, god fearing, wonderful dad, grandpa… He was a good man, and will be missed so much. Thank you God for placing him in our lives.
This is my moms favorite bible verse; sharing it in Marlin's memory:
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul; He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for thou art with me thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies; Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.
