Obituary of Donna Rae Gladney

Donna Rae Gladney August 06, 1924 - October 29, 2009 GLADNEY, Donna Rae Jefferson, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on October 29, 2009. She had a wonderfully joyous reunion with her son Russell Alan who preceded her in 1970 as well as her parents and many other relatives and friends in a place of…”no more sorrows, no more tears, no more pain, no more death; the former things are passed away.” She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 65 years, Harold. They met at Camp Lee in Hopewell, VA where he was a Pvt. 1st Class stationed there and she was a civilian employee working in the Post Exchange. Their journey together has been a long and happy one. She also leaves her daughter Linda Speedy and husband James, daughter Julie Rhodes and husband Charles as well as three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. A memorial service officiated by Pastor David Morgan will be held at the First Baptist Church of La Porte, TX 310 S. Broadway on Wednesday November 4, 2009 at 11:00AM. The family request that in lieu of usual remembrances contributions be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association if desired (1-888-HELP MDA).
